Full-stack product engineer

I build scalable web products, clean APIs, and practical user experiences.

I help teams turn complex product ideas into maintainable software across backend systems, integrations, frontend workflows, and UX-minded delivery.

Current focus

Payments, AI tools, and internal systems that have to keep working after launch.

Selected work

Work where the backend had to match the product.

Three case studies about social features, AI services, and internal operations, including the trade-offs behind the code.

Social Platform Backend

Backend foundation for a social product with user accounts, content flows, activity tracking, and product logic.

Outcome: Improved backend maintainability by separating social workflows, API behavior, and data access into clearer modules.

AI Product Backend

Backend development for a product using AI chat features, service orchestration, and payment flows.

Outcome: Improved AI workflow reliability by separating orchestration, payment eligibility, and user-facing state into clearer backend boundaries.

Internal Workflow System

A custom internal tool for daily entries, time off, resources, todos, and team organization.

Outcome: Built a clearer operational system by separating daily workflows, reporting needs, and team coordination states.

How I work in practice.

Four habits that keep projects understandable when the requirements change and the easy solution stops working.

See these choices in the work
  1. 01

I map the workflow before I draw the schema

On the social platform, a week of interviewing operators revealed that the real product was the moderation queue, not the post endpoint. The data model followed from that.

  2. 02

I test the failure modes, not just the happy path

What happens when the network drops mid-checkout? When the webhook arrives twice? When the user has no results? I write the test that exercises the broken state, not just the demo state.

  3. 03

I own what I ship after it ships

I profile slow queries before I refactor, write migration scripts that don't lock production tables, and read the error tracking dashboard on Monday morning.

  4. 04

I name the trade-off so we can argue about it

Every product decision hides a trade: speed vs. cost, flexibility vs. simplicity, polish vs. time-to-market. I put the trade on the table before I pick a side, so the team can override me when I'm wrong.

Have a product with messy workflows, payments, or AI in the middle? Let’s talk.
